CompareWiz
CompareWiz Hangs when comparing a database with large number of
tables!
CompareWiz
is closing and cleaning objects in the background, comparing table
and query fields usually consumes time and system resources.
Resolution:
Don't try
to close Microsoft Access, a very large number of tables could take
about 20 minutes to be compared.
CompareWiz 2000 and CompareWiz 2002 have the option to not include
the table and query fields in the comparison process.

New
objects found in my recently compared database with names that
starts with ~~XYZ ?
These are
CompareWiz Temporary objects and usually it appears in your database
if Microsoft Access was shut down improperly, CompareWiz in normal
cases deletes these temp objects after it finishes the comparison
process.
Resolution:
You can
safely delete these objects manually or run CompareWiz again which
will automatically delete these objects.

The
Compare process takes a long time ?
There
could be more than one reason for this delay.
Resolution:
1.
Check if the database has attached tables, usually attached tables
take a long time to compare, try to compare these tables from their
source.
2.
Comparing databases across network connections could
also
prove very
slow and will slow the network, try-comparing databases locally.
3.
Databases that contain code errors could also be
a
cause for
slow
performance, try to resolve any coding errors and do compile and
save before the compare process.
4.
Repair and Compact always improves
performance and eliminates
database fragmentation, so it's a good idea to do so before
comparing a database.

CompareDataWiz
Error 3112, Record(s) can't be read; no read permission on
'Categories'.
You
should have at lest Read data permission on the databases you are
comparing.
CompareDataWiz is too slow and Takes a long time to compare between
Two Tables.
Comparing Databases across the network will take longer and will
slow traffic across the network, depending on the size of data in
your database, try to compare large databases locally.
Large
amount of data will usually take some time to compare, try to
compare and compact both databases before running CompareDataWiz.
No
Primary Key or Unique Index was found
CompareDataWiz will compare only tables with Primary or Unique
index.
No

selected tables because:
·
No read
permission on the data was found.
·

ReplaceWiz
ReplaceWiz is too
slow especially when searching through Tables and Queries?
There are many factors that affect the
speed and performance of ReplaceWiz, some of these are:
1.
The Search process will
consume system resources and the faster and more RAM you have the
quicker the Search will be.
2.
If you are searching and
replacing through a large database it is always best to compact your
database, which will significantly improve the performance.
3.
Selecting to Search in
Table and Query fields in databases that contain large number of
tables and queries would slow performance drastically , so unless
you need to search and replace through the table and query fields
properties ,disable the Searching Table and Query Fields in the
Property Selection page of ReplaceWiz.

Try not to run other programs during a search,
which would consume system resources and slow the search process.
